Scope of Services: We provide mobile automotive detailing at the location you specify. Services follow the package you select and any add-ons you approve.Detailing is cosmetic. It improves appearance but cannot guarantee removal of all stains, odors, etching, scratches, water spots, or defects beneath the clear coat.
Site Access & Safety: You confirm the service area is safe, legal, and suitable (clear space around the vehicle, adequate lighting, level surface).You authorize our technician to access the driveway/parking area and to move the vehicle a short distance if needed for safe operation.If conditions are unsafe (aggressive animals, harassment, biohazards, severe clutter, hazardous weather), we may refuse or stop work.
Water, Power & Environmental:We typically supply our own water/power; if not feasible at your location, we may request access or reschedule.We follow reasonable environmental practices to manage runoff and chemicals. Please tell us about any HOA or property restrictions beforehand.
Personal Items, Bulk Items & Child Seats:Remove personal/bulk items before we arrive. We need clear access to floors, seats, cargo areas, cupholders, and compartments.Bulk items (e.g., large bags/boxes, crates, coolers, strollers, sports gear, tools, multiple trash bags) slow service and may incur an extra removal fee up to $100 per vehicle (time/materials). We will notify you before applying any fee and will not exceed $100 without your approval.We do not uninstall bolted components or child safety seats. At your request and where safe, we may temporarily move a child seat to access surfaces, using reasonable care, but we will not re-install or certify installation.We are not responsible for valuables or personal items left in the vehicle. Small loose items may be bagged and placed in the trunk/cargo area.
Inspection, Pre-Existing Conditions & Revealed Defects:Pre-service inspection: We perform a visual inspection and record photos/videos of the vehicle’s condition, including any noticeable pre-existing damage (scratches, chips, dents, cracked trim, stains, torn upholstery, etc.).No responsibility for pre-existing damage: We are not liable for any pre-existing damage or wear, whether or not documented, and you acknowledge that cleaning may make existing defects more visible (e.g., swirl marks, etching, touch-up paint, prior repairs).Revealed defects after cleaning: Cosmetic cleaning/decontamination can expose or highlight underlying issues (failing clear coat, etching, scratches, stains, odors). To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for revealing such issues that were already present.For engine bays, wraps/PPF, matte finishes, antiques, or custom work, we may limit or decline services to avoid risk.
Service Documentation & Photos: We take before/after photos and short videos to document condition and results.We may use anonymized images for marketing (plates blurred) unless you email/text us to opt out before the appointment.
Scheduling, Weather & Delays: Mobile work is weather-dependent. We may reschedule for heavy rain, lightning, high winds, freezing temps, or extreme heat index.Arrival is within a window; we’ll communicate any delays as early as possible.
Pricing & Payment: Payment is due immediately upon service completion. Accepted methods: Cash,Credit/Debit Card, tap/Apple/Google Pay.If you are not present at completion, we may send photos and a secure payment link; payment is due the same day.If unpaid after 48 hours: a late fee of $[50] or [25]% (whichever is greater) may apply where lawful.After 7 days unpaid: the account may be sent to collections or pursued in small claims court. You agree to pay any court costs and legally permitted fees.
Damage, Liability & Indemnity: We use reasonable tools and methods to minimize risk. Still, detailing involves water, cleaners, and equipment.Liability cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including diminished value or loss of use).You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of inaccurate information you provide, unsafe site conditions, or items/bulk materials left in the vehicle.
Right to Refuse Service: We may decline or stop work if the vehicle’s condition exceeds the selected package without your approval of revised pricing/time, or if conditions are unsafe or unlawful.
Communication & Records:We may send confirmations, reminders, invoices, and photos by text/email. We keep reasonable records of bookings, acceptance, and service notes. Please verify your contact details are correct.
SMS Consent & Notifications: By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box during booking, you agree to receive transactional text messages related to your appointment from Shine & Shield (e.g., one-time passcode, booking confirmation, reschedule, cancellation). Message frequency varies by appointment (typically up to 3 messages per booking). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. Disputes & Venue: We aim to resolve concerns quickly. Please contact us within 24 hours so we can help.
Miscellaneous: No waiver of any term by us is a continuing waiver. If any term is unlawful, the rest remains in effect (severability).Entire agreement: These online terms govern your booking and service, superseding prior communications about the same service.Electronic consent: Checking the box and placing a booking creates an enforceable electronic agreement.
