How you opt in
- When you book on our website, you enter your mobile number and check the consent box linking to these Terms & Privacy. We then send a one-time passcode (OTP) to verify the number. By providing your number and completing OTP verification, you consent to receive transactional texts related to your appointment.
What we send
Transactional messages only: OTP verification, booking confirmations, changes/reschedules, cancellations, reminders, arrival updates, and post-service receipts or review requests.
Frequency & fees
Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply.

Supported carriers & delivery
Delivery may be subject to your carrier’s policies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Shine & Shield’s mobile auto-detailing services and website booking.
Scope of services
We provide mobile automotive detailing at the location you specify, according to the package you select and any add-ons you approve. Detailing is cosmetic; not all stains, odors, etching, scratches, water spots, or clear-coat defects can be removed.
Site access & safety
- You confirm the service area is safe, lawful, and suitable (clear space, lighting, reasonably level surface).
- You authorize our technician to access the driveway/parking area and to carefully move the vehicle if needed.
- We may decline or stop work for unsafe conditions (aggressive animals, harassment, biohazards, severe clutter, hazardous weather).
Water, power & environmental
We typically supply our own water/power; when not feasible, we may request access or reschedule. We follow reasonable environmental practices and comply with local restrictions.
Personal items, bulk items & child seats
- Please remove personal/bulk items beforehand to allow access to floors, seats, cargo areas, and compartments.
- Bulk item removal may incur an additional fee (time/materials) up to $100 per vehicle, with your prior approval.
- We do not uninstall bolted components or child seats. Upon request, we may move a child seat temporarily but will not re-install or certify installation.
- We are not responsible for valuables or personal items left in the vehicle.
Inspection & pre-existing conditions
We may document the vehicle’s pre-service condition with photos/video. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or wear, and cleaning may make existing defects more visible.
Scheduling, weather & delays
Mobile service is weather-dependent; we may reschedule for heavy rain, lightning, high winds, freezing temps, or extreme heat index. Arrival is within a window; we communicate delays as early as possible.
Pricing & payment
Payment is due upon completion (cash, card, or contactless). If you are not present, we may send photos and a secure payment link; payment is due the same day. Unpaid balances may incur lawful late fees and collection actions.
Photos & marketing
We may take before/after photos to document work. We may use anonymized images for marketing (plates blurred) unless you notify us to opt out before your appointment.
Liability
We use reasonable methods and care. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Right to refuse service
We may decline or stop work if the condition exceeds the selected package without your approval of revised pricing/time, or if conditions are unsafe or unlawful.
Records & communications
We keep reasonable records of bookings, acceptance, service notes, and communications. Please ensure your contact details are accurate.
Disputes & venue
We aim to resolve concerns quickly—please contact us within 24 hours of service completion.
Miscellaneous
No waiver is continuing unless stated in writing. If any term is unlawful, the remainder remains in effect. These online terms govern your booking and service and supersede prior communications for the same service. Checking the box during booking creates an enforceable electronic agreement.
Privacy Policy
Information we collect
- Contact & booking details: name, email, phone number, service address, package, notes (e.g., apt/gate code).
- Technical: browser/device data used for site security and performance.
- Messaging: delivery metadata from our SMS provider (e.g., Twilio) for compliance and troubleshooting.
How we use your information
- To process bookings, schedule, route, and perform services.
- To send transactional messages: OTP, confirmations, changes, cancellations, reminders, receipts, and review requests.
- To improve our website, services, and customer support.
- To comply with law and carrier/A2P rules.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate (e.g., hosting/database, mapping, and Twilio for messaging). We do not sell or rent your mobile number or personal information.
Data retention & security
We retain records for as long as reasonably necessary for operations, legal, and accounting requirements. We use reasonable safeguards to protect data, but no system is 100% secure.
Your choices
- Opt out of texts at any time by replying
